Raised and born in Shanghai, Michael came from a world where people are constantly experiencing changes in every aspects of their lives in the past 20 years as China has been developing economically, materialistically and culturally. Nurtured by parents both dabbling in commercial sectors and a grandma whose active involvement in the affairs of local community increases with her age, Michael grew up fascinated by the social changes around him and becomes sensitive to the social and psychological dynamics rooted in his surroundings.

Since August 2017, Michael has started his first job with J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong and has been working in its investment banking division covering Asia Pacific natural resources. Having tried multiple summer jobs ranging from physics lab, investigative consulting to banking, Michael believes in the intensive professional training and the business acuman that are offered through investment banking.

Besides banking, Michael enjoys reading history books, photoshopping, blogging, brainstorming on a variety of topics, and playing a mixture of competitive sports. Michael graduated cum laude from Yale in 2017 with distinction in both Physics and History. Prior to Yale, he studied at Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT and Fudan Fuzhong in Shanghai.
